40 Seasonal Soups, a benefit for Sacred Heart Shelter
40 Seasonal Soups is full of delicious, seasonal soup recipes contributed by the Seattle area's best restaurants (Canlis, Tilth, Taste at SAM, Union , and Le Pichet to name a few). All proceeds benefit Seattle 's Sacred Heart Shelter, which provides a home-like, temporary shelter for families and single women. I've been drooling over the Oven Soup by the owner/chef at Cafe Besalu and the Catillian Garlic Soup by the owner of Taberna del Alabardero and the Clam Chowder by recent Top Chef contestant Ashley Merriman, and, well, I guess I've been drooling over the whole book. Soups that satisfy the soul as well as the stomach - what more could you ask for with this kind of weather? ~Lillian
