Lush, folk-inspired illustrations provide the classic Jan Brett feel, and multitudes of bunnies in varied costumes will keep readers of all ages lingering over the pages.  The story is sweet and simple.  Every year, the rabbits each decorate an egg for a springtime contest, and the winner gets the honor of being the Easter Rabbit for that year's holiday.  Hoppi, the bunny in blue on the cover, is finally old enough to compete, but he worries that he will never decorate an egg beautiful enough to win.  As he waits for inspiration in the woods, a robin's egg falls from a nest.  What's a bunny to do? All the delightful rabbits, from dwarf lops to checkered giants and everything in between, wear luxurious outfits inspired by different cultures.  I had fun looking through to pick out my favorites, but every time I read it, I think I picked a different favorite!
