Join us for a presentation by the author followed by a reception and signing. A holiday plan-ahead tip: an autographed copy of this book would be a perfect gift for history buffs!	11 Dave Boling: Reception & Signing before Book Club Start: 6:30 pm Come one, come all to meet author Dave Boling for a reception and signing at 6:30! Then stay and discuss *Guernica* with the author and our drop-in, no-guilt monthly book club from 7:00- 8:00 if you're interested. Monthly Book Club: Guernica Start: 7:00 pm n/a	12	13	14 Shop Local for Schools UQAMA Event Start: 10:00 am Saturday November 14 and Sunday November 15, Queen Anne Books will participate in the Upper Queen Anne Merchants Association "Shop Local for Schools" event. Buy things at participating merchants (displaying the sign shown on the UQAMA site here), and 10% of your purchase will go to the local school of your choice. Queen Anne Books will also be holding a McClure Benefit Book Fair starting at 3:00 on Sunday November 15. For more information about McClure's Book Fair, click here. Book Mixer: Pharmakon Start: 8:00 pm Book Mixer meets a earlier in the month than usual because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Get in that "Happy Family" mood by discussing Pharmakon, or the Story of a Happy Family by Dirk Wittenborn. We meet every other month, usually the last Saturday at 8:00pm. Our book choices tend to be a little edgier than the traditional book club fare, and our discussions are focused yet fun. After about an hour talking about the book, most of us head to a bar or restaurant to socialize. This helps us spend our book club time talking openly and in-depth about the book, then gives us a great opportunity to bond with fellow readers afterwards. Everyone is welcome to take part in the discussion, and all are encouraged to join us for social time after, too. Remember, they're Saturday nights starting at 8:00.
