Matt Ruff, one of our favorite authors (Set This House in Order, Bad Monkeys), joins us for a reading and signing of his spectacular new novel, The Mirage. I have a feeling this is going to be a book everyone will be talking about in 2012, so come learn about it and get a signed copy at our celebration of Matt and his new work.

Come for read-aloud fun for the little ones! Join us at our neighbor, Twirl Cafe, rain or shine on the first Friday of the month. Stories, maybe a little song and dance... we'll have a grand ol' time. (Tegan entertains for about 30 minutes-- and welcomes youngest audience members who need to wander in and out.)

This no-guilt, drop-in group meets every other month, usually the last Saturday at 8:00pm.

Our book choices tend to be a little edgier than the traditional book club fare, and our discussions are focused yet fun. After about an hour talking about the book, most of us head to a bar or restaurant to socialize. This helps us spend our book club time talking openly and in-depth about the book, then gives us a great opportunity to bond with fellow readers afterwards.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the discussion, and all are encouraged to join us for social time after, too. Remember, they're Saturday nights starting at 8:00.
