Awesome is probably a good word to describe this wild, young-reader mystery novel. A rock-and-roll tour bus on a cross-country trip, ravenous Paparazzi, the Israeli Mossad and the U.S. Secret Service, two youths on board with two particularly awesome skills. Angela and Quest, recently made step-siblings by the marriage of their famous-musician parents, are passengers on a gadget-ridden motorbus on a cross-country tour. What follows is more than sight-seeing, as a mystery unfolds involving a deeply-underground terrorist organization, the strange secrets of the tour’s driver and mechanic, Boone, and Angela’s mother, long-considered dead…if James Bond and Harry Houdini were novelists, I imagine that together they’d hatch something like I, Q.
