This is a beautiful and delightful book about all kinds of princesses. Like Princess Miss Hap, sent to an island for her clumsiness and who is plotting her escape. Then there is Princess Thimbelina who is called "A cutie patootie." And I have to mention Princess Paige who speaks only in verse, and knows the dictionary by heart. This is the funniest book and I learned so much about princesses, like their language of fans, the value of their tears, favorite modes of transportation, coats of arms and flags, and how to wake a sleeping princess. Rececca Dautremer's illustrations are colorful, beautiful and magical. One of my favorite pages is the illustration of a princesses tower with a very detailed list of every essential part of it, like the closet for single shoes and the cubicle for consultation with the magic mirror. The writing is humorous and enchanting; and new discoveries about princesses will be made with each peruse of this book. ~Mara
