David Sedaris always makes me laugh and his latest book is no exception. This book isn’t about his eccentric family or his misadventures abroad, instead it is a collection of fables featuring some very quirky animals. My favorite is the tale of a squirrel and chipmunk who begin dating but quickly realize that they have nothing in common. I read this on a recent vacation and was laughing so much that my husband kept asking me to read passages aloud. The illustrations by Ian Falconer manage to be both charming and slightly disturbing, which makes them the perfect complement to these unusual fables. ~Torrie
