This second novel by the author of Lulu Meets God and Doubts Him, fresh out in paperback, is just my kind of light read! It is the perfect sunshiny romance complete with an inside view into life in the Hamptons, delightful characters, and a little art mystery all wrapped into one readable and entertaining package.

Stella (also known as Cassie), the narrator, is the half-British half-sister of Peck, a free-spirited American. Their beloved Aunt Lydia just passed away and left them her house in the Hamptons. Fool’s House is a ramshackle charmer known as a refuge for artists-- and it even comes with its own resident artist/ handsome young butler. Stella and Peck know they cannot afford to keep Fool’s House, so they embark on their final summer there together eager to celebrate the past, figure out what is important to them, and connect as sisters and friends.
