I love a good spy novel, and The Trinity Six definitely fits the bill! During the 1930s, a group of students at Trinity College in England joined the Communist party and eventually became spies for the Russian government. They were known as the Cambridge Five. Cummings offers a fictionalized account of a search for a possible sixth member of the group. The story centers on Sam Gaddis, a professor of Russian history at University College London. He is buried under a mountain of debt and is looking for a big story to write about in his next book. A journalist friend confides that she has a lead on the sixth member of the group and offers to share the story with him. When she dies unexpectedly, Gaddis begins to pursue the facts on his own. This is a great historical spy thriller about an ordinary man caught up in the dangerous world of international espionage. ~Torrie
